The buzzing messaging platform, WhatsApp has recently introduced a “Voice Chat” option for groups of all sizes. This shows that WhatsApp is expanding its functionality in real-time audio conversation, making it more casual and interactive.
The Voice Chat feature was formerly available for larger groups; moreover, WhatsApp announced that it is now live for all group chats.
Now, let’s talk more about the update!
One of the interesting features is that it functions similarly to a group call but doesn’t ring every individual, the way it was in traditional calls. However, it displays an in-chat pop-up notification, wherein users can join easily. Further, those who wish to leave space can do it without any disturbance to the ongoing call.
More About Voice Chats on WhatsApp!
Anyone in the group can initiate a voice conversation, by simply sliding up from the bottom of the chat window until you see a swipe-up to talk message, and then just holding for a few seconds.
All the voice chats remain pinned at the bottom of your chat so you can have access to all controls, wherein they can have a look at who’s already in and new ones can join at any time. WhatsApp always puts security first and thus has made all the voice chats end-to-encrypted by default. Thus, users can rest assured as their conversations remain private and secure.
Users can have an audio hangout discussing staycations, a TV-shows finale or just a simple conversation with those available on audio chat. WhatsApp, the meta-owned platform, is consistently bringing in super fresh enhancements to make conversations easy and breezy!
